A simple, inclusive and inspiring online space designed to guide your school towards sustainability and help you proudly earn your Green Flag. 

 The Eco-Schools Green Flag Platform has been designed to make the accreditation journey simpler, smarter and more connected.

Context for Development 

 The Greening Education Partnership (GEP) global mission is clear: 

"By 2030, all countries will have adopted a green school accreditation scheme, with at least 50% of schools, colleges and universities operating sustainably” (GAIA 20:30). 

FEE, as co-coordinator of Pillar 1, is committed to helping countries meet these targets through our GEP aligned Eco-Schools programme. 

To support countries to progress toward these targets with quality and impact, we are launching a brand-new monitoring platform called ‘Green Flag Platform’.

By providing a unified, intuitive and adaptable space, the platform allows all members of the Eco-Schools network to work more efficiently and collaboratively. 

What are the key benefits? 

• Streamlined accreditation: Schools can apply and upload evidence directly to the platform, significantly reducing email overload. 

• Real-time impact tracking: Dashboards provide up-to-date national and global progress, enabling easy reporting and measurement of impact. 

• Customisable and personalised support: National Operators can tailor environmental activities and questions to national curricula, track school progress, and guide schools through each step of the Green Flag application. 

• Multi-language support: The platform can be fully translated into national languages, engaging diverse school communities, and enabling accessible participation.
