Learn about the Food Sustainability Curriculum Framework
The Curriculum Framework available in:
As part of the PLAN’EAT project, FEE has developed a comprehensive Curriculum Framework outlining what effective Sustainability Food Education can look like in practice. This framework titled “Healthy People on a Healthy Planet: Transforming food behaviours for sustainability” builds on insights and guidance from the 2025 EAT Lancet’s Planetary Health Diet and the PLAN’EAT project recommendations, while aligning its competencies with the European Union’s GreenComp Framework.
The learning outcomes are organised across four age groups (up to age 6, 8, 12, and 15) and revolve around three key behaviours that, when adopted collectively, have the greatest potential to enhance both human and planetary health:
Behaviour 1: Shifting to the Planetary Health Diet
Behaviour 2: Reducing Food Waste
Behaviour 3: Supporting Local and Seasonal Food Systems
